Hello all,

I'm pleased to announce the availability of TableTools 2.1.2. This release addresses some issues found in 2.1.1 whereby Flash based (copy / export to file) buttons wouldn't work correctly in IE or Firefox. A few other minor bugs have also been addressed in this release.

The most important point to make with this update is that rather than using tags for the TableTools buttons, it will now create tags - as such you may need to update your CSS to the latest included in the package, depending on how your CSS is currently setup. This change is required in order to address the IE / Firefox issue where a Flash element embedded inside a button tag would not receive click events.

As always, if you have any issues with this release, please open a new thread with details about the issue!

Regards,
Allan

Unfortunately, the support for dropdown button collections seem to be really broken (even the example doesn't have drop-down anymore: http://datatables.net/release-datatables/extras/TableTools/collection.html). I updated my CSS to match the change from BUTTON to A, but an hour later I'm nowhere closer, it seems that inside the A is a SPAN for the button, but also an invisible DIV created by ZeroClipboard, and the placement of that DIV seems to be hardcoded relative to the A. Which means that you can't hover some buttons anymore, the invisible DIV overlap the visible buttons. Reverting to 2.0 for now...

Unfortunately yes you are correct. The collections appear to be broken at the moment :-(. I'm going to be looking at this shortly.

I've just committed the required fix for this ( https://github.com/DataTables/TableTools/commit/f01bb08e925642a3391ff250bdfe8bd28efc65ea ) and it will be in TableTools 2.1.3 which I will release soon.

It would be great if yourself or anyone else can download the git repo and check that collections now do work for you before I make the release - just in case!
