Maximum Amount of Columns

I am creating a Datasheet that will need to have roughly 20 columns. Whenever I place more than 6 columns into the Data sheet it will not display using the data sheets. Basically it does not work. I have looked through all the code but cannot find anywhere to specify the amount of columns. Can somebody please help me on this one.
