Sorting does not work when bSortable False for first column (server-side)

I'm using data table server-side. If I disable sorting on the first column (through bSortable=False), then bSortable_X is set to false in the request for any column I try to sort by (through clicking the column header). Enabling sorting on the first column fixes this.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?
