fnOpen return value

fnOpen return value

It seems like it would make sense if fnOpen returned the new row created and opened?

I guess if you have the nTr that was passed to fnOpen, the new row is the row after nTr and there are different ways to get it. However, if the row was returned directly after the open, one would have the immediate access to the row for modification if they were doing something with the row (like in a detail/edit scenario).

Does this seem reasonable? Or, is there something I might be missing in how easy the target is available?

Thanks!
Patrick

    Hi Patrick,

Sounds like a good idea to me! I'll add that into the next release. Until then it's just a case of adding the return statement :-)

    Regards,
