Newbie step by step assistance with subtotals/grouping/grand totals
Hello,
I have been able to get everything configured and get some test data working but need to get a better understanding of how to tailor all of the options available. The initialization options that are provided are great but I am not sure where they need to go as I am new to this sort of programming. Ultimately, I would like to get a basic data table with alternate row highlights, sorting and searching option like the base template provides. But I need to also add dynamic subtotals to calculate where there is a change in one of the columns. I have seen the code for footer callback but am not certain where to place it and how to have the footer rows added to the table structure. I would ultimately also like to have a weighted average for other columns in the subtotals/grand total.
Does anyone have some sample code they can share that would clarify this? Thanks in advance! This code is an amazing resource and I look forward to implementing it and hopefully being able to help others once I get up the learning curve.
Best,
Jason
