White space above table created by tags

Hi,

My apologies if this post is done incorrectly; I'm new to this site and to this stuff altogether.

I'm having a problem where a ton of   tags are being generated dynamically by the dataTables library, creating a ton of white space above my table, pushing it down the page.

Has anyone ever encountered this problem before or figured out a fix for it?

I'm not using scrolling, and the table itself is processing properly.

Never mind; there were tons of spaces in my HTML table data that I wasn't seeing - that was the problem.
