Export to Excel encoding

Hi!

I'm having a problem with getting all characters over to excel correctly. When i press "Save for excel" all my å ä ö characters become åäö. In my web browser everything looks great, it's just when i save the datatable as an excel file it becomes distorted.

I've tried to change the encoding on everything to charset=windows-1252" but it doesn't seem to matter.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

The export to Excel assumes that your page is UTF-8 and it write s a file which is UTF16-LE (since Excel likes that for some reason). You can change it to output UTF-8 with the options if you wish.
