Individual column filtering issue

Hi, I'm using DataTables with individual column filtering (as seen on: http://www.sprymedia.co.uk/dataTables/example_multi_filter.html). The problem comes when I hide a column (using "bVisible"): the filtering on the columns after the one I hid doesn't work!
Has this happened to anybody else?

(I've opted for a crappy solution: place the column I have to hide on the right on the table... but I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong)
