Custom Graphics in TH Elements Behind Sorting
Hey Allan,
First, as anyone who is posting in the forum knows, your plugin is pure magic. One of the most developed, useful and intuitive plugins I have seen to date.
So far Ive encoutnered countless problems using DataTables, but between the forum and a little in depth reading into the usage/api sections Ive been able to tackle each one without a hitch. So its a bit embarrassing to finally be here with what I feel like is such a simple problem (but no forseeable solution!!!!) at face value.
My problem is this-- we would like to use custom background images for our th elements AND retain the sorting arrows. Like I said embarrassing, but Ive spent the last few hours trying to work around this and can not seem to get it to work.
From what Ive seen the only way to manipluate the sort's are by their classes (.sorting, .sorting_asc and .sorting_desc)-- but as we all know it is not possible to set multiple background images. Ive tried using jquery to reference the th elements individually and place div's with backgrounds, adding another class, etc... and it just smacks me in the face and says no every time.
This would seem to me to be a problem that someone would have encountered long before me, but I couldnt seem to find any references. Hoping youre awesome guidance can get me through this. Thanks Allan!
Brendan
