Save as Excel, CSV -- suppressing types of cell contents from being exported

I've got a datatable whose cells include content that I don't want exported. Essentially I want similar capabilities to a "print" media stylesheet, where I can indicate by class those cell content elements, like images or hyperlinks, that I don't want captured in the export. Is there any way to do that stylistically? Brilliant application, by the way. Maybe a class to which I add a 'display:none' style? Or a special 'no-export' class?
