PRB: Clicking X on search input clears field but doesn't reset filter

If you enter a filter string and the grid filters, clicking the "x" on the filter input clears the input field of any text, but does not reset the filter on the grid. You have to hit enter on an empty search filter input to reset it.

Is there a workaround or maybe a fix coming anytime soon?

Should work in DataTables 1.10. Can you try it with that please?

It works in 1.10 for me, though I have only tested IE11 so far.
