Individual column filtering

I'm using this example http://datatables.net/examples/api/multi_filter_select.html to filter my datatable with lists.
I've a problem when the table is filtered. If I choose the default blank option it's doesn't show all the value (not reset column filter ).

I've the solution :

                        table_direction.column( i )
                        .search('')
                        .draw();
                    }else{
                        table_direction.column( i )
                        .search(
                         '^'+$(this).val()+'$', true, false )
                        .draw();
                    }
