entering and exiting a table

Hi All,

I am sure this question has been asked before but I have yet to find it, there are a lot of posts out there. I am using keyTables 1.2 with dataTables 1.10 and playing with the example http://datatables.net/release-datatables/extensions/KeyTable/examples/simple.html. I can tab through the page and the dataTable headers are accessible but I cannot enter the table in order to select a cell/row using the keyboard. if I click in the table with the mouse I can then tab all around but then cannot get out of the table unless I use the mouse to click outside of the table.
How can I accomplish entering and exiting the table data using only the keyboard?
