Date sorting using dd-mon-yy format

I'm hoping to enable date sorting using oracle format dd-mon-yy. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I asked the same question on here a while back and ended up writing my own.

That should at least get you started. You can move the months outside the functions so you dont have to duplicate them.
