Hello Allan,

With the new 1.7.3 update, I have an issue where the column and heading widths are not in sync. I've tried all the different options I could think of, and looked through the forum, but I can't seem to figure it out. Any ideas?

Thanks!
Patrick

Additional Input... It seems whatever width I put for a column, datatables adds more to it.

I have a column that I initially defined as 45px. When it displays, it is set to 157 px.

I redefine the column width in the table definition to 150px. It then displays at 286 px.

It doesn't make sense to me.

Hang around for 1.7 beta 4 - which will hopefully help with at least the alignment... Fixing the width at 45px however is a bit more tricky! I've spent hours working on exactly that problem today (as part of the overall architecture for the scrolling) and the browsers really don't make it very easy to do that - at least not absolutely... there are a number of edge cases I've run into which mean that even if you set style.width="45px" then you simply don't get what you would expect... Should probably write up what I've been finding at some point - but this is still under investigation. So beta 4 will (I really hope) help here - but it might not be perfect.

    Allan
