Referencing multiple datatables

If i have x number of tables and i apply the datatables to all of them, how do i reference each one individually? What im trying to do is if the table has 0 records (rows) i want to hide a few things on my page. I was looking at the oSettings.aiDisplay.length and if it was 0 to hide the items on the page, but i need to do it per table. If table 1 has no records, hide some fields and text that is on the page for table 1, if table 2 has no records... hide the fields and text for table 2...

Just not too sure how to reference each table.
