sDom problem

Hi everyone,
This is my first post in this forum. I have having a problem trying to move some elements around the table.
I have read everything there is to know about the sDom, but I am still unable to achieve what I need.
I have created a new row right above the table header and I was trying to place some elements inside certain cells.
I understood that something like sDom: '<"#paging"l>' creates "

{length}

", but if I want to place that block of code somehwere in the page (in my case inside a specific new created cell), how can I specify where to put it ?
It does create a div element but I do not know what syntax I need to add to be able to place it where I want to.

I hope this is clear enough.
