pageLength NaN error

I am trying to take the pageLength from a URI
but for some reason when ever i do that i get the error "Showing 1 to 10 of NaN entries"
and if i am putting a self invoking function it actually writes the function as a string instead of the NaN

When i am checking my Ajax call i do see that the response is correct and there is information inside

Anyone know how to fix the issue
