Data table with Jeditable not able to show index on updating the table.

I am showing index in data table as explained https://datatables.net/examples/api/counter_columns.html and using Jeditable to edit two columns. When I am trying to update a column value in second page, after the table value got updated it is showing the first page. To avoid this I have commented the as "ravialuri" said in thread http://datatables.net/forums/discussion/4470/pagination-is-reset-when-using-a-jeditable/p1.Now after the update it is being in the first page.But now I am not able to see the index after update is done.Could you please help on it. How I will be able to show index column even after update.
