how to set iDeferLoading back to 0 if search input is empty

I'm using iDeferLoading = 0 in the datatable configuration, when it first loads it shows 0 entries as I want, when I use the search input it show me the correct data, what I want is that when I clean up the search input, the datatable shows 0 entries again. It is possible?
