row hide / show details - multiple levels

Hi Allan,

Do you have any plans to develop a multiple level row hide / show solution ?. One that would allow several rows to be displayed when the 'show' button was pressed and each of these records could be 'shown' to see additional detail.

I have been thinking how it could be done but it gave me a head ache :-)

How do you mean? Like nested tables - effectively giving a tree view, or more than one TR element inserted for the opened row? If there former, there are a couple of threads in the forum about how to do do that kind of thing, and if the latter, then you could just insert an inner table with multiple rows in it to achieve the same effect.

Hi Allan,

Thanks for your advice, I will have a look at the nested table option. What I'm trying to achieve is a 'threaded' forum, which can show replies to messages and replies to replies.

I'm sure after I have looked at the options you suggest I will be back with more questions but thank you for your help so far
