Specify Column(s) to display on initialization of Server-Side Responsive DataTable (Bootstrap)

Hi,

I tried to load an empty table on initialization, and since I could not find any option to do this, tried to load an empty Data from the Server.
Now, having a 1stand 2nd header Title (Label) is too short for its content, at initialization 2 columns are displayed. After the table rendered the DataTable with the data from the Database, the responsiveness goes wrong since the columns are stretched because the column values are lengthy.
Is there a way to specify a column to display during the responsive DataTable is initialized?
