ColDefs that use external class

I use the coldefs for formatting dates, currency, checkboxes, etc. Every time I create a new datatable I am having to, in the application, go find another page that is already using the coldefs --> copy --> and paste them in the new file.

So my question is, is there a way that I can create all of my coldefs in 1 location and let everything automatically use those coldefs? Or at least, in the col defs area of each datatable, call a function that returns all of my coldefs on that page?

ohhh I like that. I knew that this was common enough for there to be a way to do this.
