FYI on the SmartAdmin framework and compatibility with Editor
After much wasted time, I have some observations for users of the SmartAdmin framework.
https://bootstraphunter.com/theme/smartadmin-responsive-webapp-frontend-BSH01
As of now (April, 2015), the latest version of the SmartAdmin framework is v1.5.2. That version of the framework includes .js files for DataTables and TableTools. These have even been styled to look good within the SmartAdmin framework. Great!
...but there seem to be some minor customizations in the .js files as delivered by SmartAdmin. These customized .js files simply don't play nice with Editor. Trust me, I tried to make it work...
So if you want to use Editor with the SmartAdmin framework:
- download and use .js files from DataTables.net for DataTables, TableTools, and whatever else you may need
- buy and download Editor
- do a bit of prototyping - it will work
- plan to use or build a .css from DataTables for styling, or plan to create your own
- plan to not use the additional .js scripts as provided by SmartAdmin in the DataTable examples, and instead go back to the basics on here.
Hope this helps!
