Knockout observable - UI does not update?

I am able to build a table using Knockout and transform it into a Datatable but when the underlying observables change in my model the bound UI does not update once Datatables has been applied. I thought I read that this was going to be addressed in Datatables v1.10.
Any thoughts/advice folks?
