bServerSide and local sort

I'd like to know if it was possible to have "bServerSide : true" and sort columns "locally" ?

sush: Not really. I was exploring the same thing and concluded that I really just wanted bServerSide false.

If you know that you are always going to display ALL the data without pagination... use bServerSide false. Sorting will be local.

If you DON'T know because you MIGHT have a lot of data... use bServerSide true. Sorting will make an ajax call.
