Loading Default layout

Is it possible to load some default layout, if there is no present data saved in state? In my case I need to hide some columns as default, but user should be able to add it through 'column visibility' popup. Is it even possible to found out, if there is saved something in table state (no stateSave present -> apply logic for default layout)?
