server-side processing with hidden row information with ruby rails 3

I'm trying to implement the hidden row function, but I could do with a point in the right direction. I recently got my ror site working with server-side processing. But now I'm stuck. How do I fill the details with the relevant data? I had this all working before with-out server side. I just rendered hidden divs on page load with all the information in then told it to show that div.
