How to set serial no (not to change) on other columns sorting

Hi!
How can I set a column with 'serial no' . These 'serial no' should not change upon sorting of other columns. And these "serial no" should not start from 1 on pages (other than first page). Table data would come from database.

Can some one guide me in this regards.
