Force Child Row Column on Static Data Table

Hi. First off thanks for DataTables -- a neat and excellent plugin.

My question seems simple but I'm not sure if it's possible. I'm outputting a flat HTML table and activating a responsive DT on it. In order to improve the text display I'd like to force the last td in each row to be a show/hide child row. As this is a static table I don't have access to raw json to create a dynamic show/hide function. So, can this be accomplished with a resonsive DT table? Thanks!
