Enhancement request - ability to export multiple header rows using Buttons

Having the ability to export multiple header rows (plus account for their rowSpan and colSpan attributes) would be amazing. I don't think you could come up with a table that the export options wouldn't be able to handle if this enhancement was implemented.
Please consider it.

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. Yes this has been highlighted as a missing feature a few times before and is certainly on my radar for future releases. I can't say when (because I don't know), but it is something I'd like to add in future.

Thanks Allan - you do amazing work, we really appreciate it!!
Please, please, please put this at the top of your list. The DataTables plugin is so amazingly powerful and robust, too bad this seemingly simple function doesn't work.
Thanks, Bill
Datatables is awesome and the quick export functions are awesome too.
However, unfortunately I have to deactivate the export since most of my tables have multiple headers.
Would be great if this features is coming.
Thank you!
Since this thread is high ranked on google if you're searching for a multirow export functioniality I wanted to add that there is a workaround:

It's working for me and easy to implement.
If you are using DataTables without embedding the "...buttons.js" you can simply follow the steps within your "datatables.js".
sobre este punto, ya se le dio alguna solucion mas simpley estable
I'm using Buttons-1.6.3 and DataTables-1.10.21, I could not find a solution for me, help
See my reply on your other thread.
