Display loading gif while exporting datatables to excel

Thanks for the made easy dataTable libraray.

I'm exporting my table to excel using html5 buttons. Can I display a loading-gif until the download completes. For a table with 1000 rows, it's keeping 10 seconds blank before download begins. So what can be done to keep the interface user friendly.
