I've just added a CKEditor v5 plug-in for Editor. Its worth noting that CKEditor 5 is still alpha, but from my experience writing that little plug-in and then using its UI, its good!
The CKEditor v4 plug-in is still available, so both are supported in Editor.
We used to use TinyMCE way back alongside DataTables in 2009ish or so, but they recently went to a subscription model which is disappointing to say the least. So we decided to try and find something else, and CKEditor seems to be everything TinyMCE was aspiring to be, and even more.
