I see in your notes for 1.8dev branch about some examples for the new deferred rendering and such.

However, where are these examples located? I can't seem to find any of the development branch examples.

Can you help a fella out?

Wasn't a dumb question at all - there wasn't a working set of examples using the 1.8 development version up on this site, since 1.8 was still in development :-). However, with the 1.8 beta release, there is now: http://datatables.net/beta/1.8/examples/

Thanks for the update. I was reading the release notes and that is where I thought I saw the example(s) referenced but didn't know how to find them! :)

I like the layout. And even a blog!!!!

I noticed the iDeferLoading property. Is that new or has it always been in the 1.8 code?

I like where you are headed with this project and as always, keep the ideas and updates coming! What a great product!

iDeferLoading was the first feature to go into the 1.8 code tree :-). It's basically an option to help optimise the initialisation of the table - no need to do an Ajax request right at the start if you already have the first page of data available.
