Hello all,

Before asking for support in the forum, please take a moment to look through the FAQs, examples and documentation on the site:

- FAQs: http://www.datatables.net/faqs
- Examples: http://www.datatables.net/examples
- Site search (at the top of every page)

Don't be afraid to ask questions - so such thing as a daft question! However, when you do post, please include as much information as possible while also being succinct in your descriptions. Please include:

- What version of DataTables you are using
- What browser you are using
- If you are getting any Javascript errors
- The DataTables initialisation
- A link to the page showing the issue (if possible).

Please don't just copy in verbatim massive amounts of code and expect others to read through and understand it - these things take a lot of time and effort!

Also be aware that this forum gets a significant amount of traffic and a lot of posts every day and therefore it is not always possible for me to respond personally to each individual question. If your question is about PHP, C# or general Javascript, please ask somewhere like Stack Overflow - this forum is specifically for DataTables questions.

If you need an answer to your question urgently please hit the support link which is at the top of every page and make a donation to the DataTables project: http://datatables.net/support - it is all used to support and improve the DataTables project.

Regards,
Allan

p.s. Please don't post support questions in this thread - open a new thread.

Hello, I am new to jquery and datatables. I have installed the basic examples of datatables using the server side. Works perfect and thank you!

Might be a stupid question for some. How do I add a link to the information displayed in the datatable?
I would like to link to another page from the datatable.

Thanks for any help. I looked into the forum but couldn't find any information that helped.

Not a particularly suitable thread to ask a support question... :-). Can you please post your question in a new thread and delete your post above.
