What is the first release of datatables that supports rowspan in 'tbody'? (if any?)

I'm sorry, this question has been asked before, but i couldn't find out from the forums (and in the page http://www.datatables.net/download/ datatables seem to support it) if rowspan is supported in tbody and from what release is supported.

There is no version of DataTables available which supports rowspan in the body at this time. The closest that is available for rowspan in the body is something like this using FixedColumns: http://datatables.net/release-datatables/extras/FixedColumns/row_grouping_height.html - however the original data must be read without rowspan.
