Inline editor's width in MS Edge

Hi Allan, I'm having an issue with MS Edge and IE 11 that your inline editor example demonstrates nicely.

With Edge, if you click in the last name or office column the editor forces the column width to change quite dramatically. But it does not happen if the user clicks in the position column. That is, the width of the open editor is the same width of the column's cell. Why the difference?

I would like the editor in Edge to always have the width of the underlying column. Is there a way to enforce the width?

Chrome does not have this problem. Haven't tried Firefox.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks for posting this - I'm seeing it as well. I've tinkered with the CSS as much as I can and can't see anything that is causing this - indeed, oddly if you set the width of the input element to 50% it still forces the column width to grow, but using width:40px keeps it the same. I've got a feeling this is actually an Edge bug we are seeing.

I'm going to try and produce a minimal test case without Editor and see if I can isolate it.

    Regards,
    Allan
