[code] munged in recent posts?

In another thread, I posted two follow-on comments. While all of the earlier code blocks look fine, the code blocks in the two recent posts are mangled, resulting in ugliness and unreadability. I tried editing them to fix the problem, with no effect.

Any idea what the cause is? Or a solution?

Yup - a little hiccup... sorry about that. It should be fixed in all new posts. I had been trying out markdown as the input formatter but it seems like more trouble than it's worth at the moment. Normal service is now resumed :-)
