I am facing the same issue, I get the above message with a 500 level error.
It happens when I click table headers to sort.
It happens infrequently so it is very hard to reproduce consistently.
500 is a server error. You need to check your server's logs.
Happy to take a look if you can find a way to reproduce it in a test case,

The istrigger event is the server error.
This problem is random and not exactly due to it and reproducing it is not so easy, it happens in the production environment.

This happens when sorting columns but only sometimes. We are asking here because it is not happening all the time nor we can systematically create a test for it. The expectation is that the creators know a bit more than users.
