Position o the processing indicator

I am having trouble with the processing option
The indicator appears below the data table wrapper instead of the middle of the table body. The table is empty since the data hasn't' been loaded yet.
I have the multiple forum topics on this option but I am still stuck. Any advise is appreciated

Thank you for the response. Unfortunately in order for me to provide a test case that is similar, i need an ajax call for data that causes the "processing indicator" to show.

This example here might be good as a template - it's delaying the ajax response to force a processing message,
