Is there a recommended procedure to increase the Editor form footer height to allow for a long error message?

I tried to adjust the height in CSS for the footer, but it covers up DTE_Form_Content or DTE_Body_Content, I think...

    Currently no I'm afraid. That is something i need to look at. However, I'd say that showing an SQL error the the end user should be avoided. If you use a validator to ensure that error is caught before it hits the SQL server, then you can show a nice error message to the end user.
