regex are not escaped fully

Regex are not escaped fully, at least ^ and $ are missed. If I enter ^ into a regex disabled filter nothing happens, but it should match nothing (as I do not have ^ in my data).

Ah - the two most obvious regular expression characters and I miss them out... Typical. I think that's the only ones I missed out - I'll include the change in the next beta of 1.5.

Could you backport that to stable version? I am tying to use dataTables in a system which will go live soon and I am trying to catch all bugs and I am not really looking into searching for them in new code ...

I wasn't planning on backporting changes to 1.4, but yes I can do. I'll release a maintenance release (1.4.3) in a few days time to make the 1.4 branch stable.
