Destroy datatable not working.

Hi, I'm using datatable with searchpanes in my project. I am using 2 datatables in the same page. When I select any row in the first datatable, i want to destroy second datatable (if there is any data). But when I try to destroy, only the searchpane disappears, but the data still remains as it is. Is this a bug? Help would be appreciated. Thanks.
