Is there an option to set a button in date picker to clear the date (setnull) ?

In date picker there is no option (I think) that allow to reset (null or else) current date time field.
If allowing keyboard action it can be do, but ...

Do you think it will be possible to get an option like this ?

    Hi,

You are correct, there is no option for this in the date picker at the moment. You need to highlight the text and then press delete as you indicate.

I’m not sure where we’d put a clear button in the UI for the date picker - there isn’t anywhere it feeling like it could naturally go.

    Hi Allan
How are you? Fine I hope

Knowing I cannot allow keyboard action in datepicker (localisation and more) a button should be a very usefull way.
Perhaps a button to clear value with a user defined label should do the job with not a lot of work to do ?
I'm sure you have so many work .... and apologise for my questions...

I'm sorry - not yet. I do have a few things to do in DateTime though including this, so it is still on my radar, I'm just not certain when I'll get to it I'm afraid.

Apologies no. I'll update this thread when I've been able to add this feature, but I haven't been able to make time for it yet I'm afraid.

    Hi @allan
No need to apologise. I know you work a lot.

The fact is each time I get last release I loose my custom control and function...

    Be safe

    Hi @all
When keyboard is disabled on timepicker formatted fields (because user input is very complex to match dt format exactly) I'd like (as said 2 years ago) a way to clear (setnull) the field with no keyboard use...
Knowing a lot of task are done each day by the staff, I just hope this point should be solved a day.
    best regards

    Hi Bob,

The DateTime library does indeed now have a clear button:

I think that was added as a direct result of this thread. I must have forgotten to post here - sorry!

    Hi Allan
Thank a lot. I do not code each day and I just get this new function yesterday...
Fine, so we can just clear without keyboard and go to current day... very nice...
