SearchPanes Button with Preselect?

I'm creating a SearchPanes Button and I want to be able to use Preselect with it. However, I'm having issues with making it work. So far it's unresponsive.

Is it even possible? I know that SearchPanes needs to be configured in the button, but can you do that with preSelect?
