searchBuilder not working with string having '&'

I've implemented searchBuilder with my datatables.
We have a process called '8. Polishing & Finishing' which shows in datatable as a result.
when I try to search that process with searchBuilder, its not working and not filtering strings which contains '&' .

Is there any way to solve this?
