SearchPanes View total not working with Custom Filtering Options

if you goto this example
https://datatables.net/extensions/searchpanes/examples/customFiltering/customOptionConditions.html

And click on "Under 20" in the age filer, you will see that the other panels all have 0, which is not right.
At least "Not Edinburgh" should have count of 1.
This doesn't happen non-custom filtering options.

Also if you type Tatyana into the search the "Not Edinburgh" is 0 as well.
