How to hide few columns when I select perticular field in In drop down.

I have total 8 columns in a edit form.
I have a drop down field which contains 4,6,8 values.
Suppose If I select 4 in a drop down out of 8 columns only 2 columns I should show others I should hide.
Suppose if I select other than 4 then out of 8 columns only 6 columns I should show others I should hide.

How to achieve this.....

You can use dependent() to hide or display fields based on a condition.
