Is it possibe to change the line Showing 1 to 4 of 4 entries? In my case it should be Showing 1 to 3 of 3 entries as the first row is hidden as it is empty. Thanks

Basically the row count is one too many because of the hidden row

How / why are you hiding the first row? If you don't want to show the first row, it shouldn't be in the table body, as it will be included in all the calculations that DataTables make.

Hiding of rows in DataTables is done by filtering of the table.
