January is the plan. As anyone working with software knows, dates can slip, but that is most certainly what I am aiming at. 2 will soon be in the nightly builds.
It is largely an incremental update, not revolutionary (or "magic" if you are Apple's marketing department!). Drops the legacy API, improves layout control and mutlirow headers, along with a whole bunch of other stuff. A solid update that I'm quite pleased with.
I'll be writing up fully come release time.
